That red stripe looks really good. Is it vinyl wrap or paint?
Its a 1/4"-wide dark red tape stripe. I tried a bright red tape I bought at the auto parts store, but it was too red and didn't match the Honda H-mark badges deeper red.
First, is's your car and you get to do what you want. I personally think a white decal on a black car might result in a little too much visual contrast. How about doing the VTEC DOHC decal in red to both reduce the amount of visual contrast and match your Si's other badges? Fortunately, die-cut vinyl decals are easily removable so you get a second chance after you've seen it.

I bought the pinstripe tape online from PINSTRIPE SUPPLY. I ordered their Dark Red Pinstripes to best match the red Honda H-mark badges used on Type R vehicles. I ordered 1/4-inch wide vinyl striping in a 150-foot roll that features a waxed release liner. The stripes were easily applied and the 150-feet roll provided enough material to do tests and make mistakes. The 150-foot roll also provides enough striping to do several cars.

You got me thinking now, I have one of those old school stickers sitting around not being used, in silver. I have a Blazing Orange Pearl, I am not sure of the fitment in terms of sizing with my old school sticker, it may be too large. I got them for my 89 EF ITR swap Honda Civic. I would like to see the smaller size types on this car though if someone tries it.
Technically this is a DOHC VTEC motor.
